D’Aria’s roots trace back to two historic farms — Doordekraal, granted to Tryntje Verwey in 1698, and Springfield, with its own rich legacy. For generations, these lands have been nurtured by the Cape’s unique terroir: fertile soils, cool coastal breezes, and the rhythmic dance of sun and rain. Today, our winemakers carry forward this heritage with a blend of respect for tradition and a passion for innovation, crafting wines that tell a story in every swirl, sniff, and sip.

Each one of our D’Aria wines is handcrafted from start to finish. All grapes are handpicked, and bunches and berries also undergo a second hand-sorting at the cellar. This testifies to the passion and dedication of our team, adding significant value to our wines.
The distinctive character of D’Aria’s wines are meant to intrigue and delight the senses, while their whimsical character and musical wine names like Songbird, Soprano, Blush, Lullaby, The Piccolo, Pop Song, Rock Song, beckon the palate.
